Registration Refunds
Procedures for Refunds of Spring Session 2020 fees
As you are all aware by now, ELLA’s Spring Session 2020 has been cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns.
We will be issuing full refunds to all registrants.
If you paid by credit card, you will be receiving an email within the next week (Mar 17 to Mar 24) to confirm your refund has been issued. At that point it will take approximately 5 to 7 banking days for the refund to appear on your credit card. If you have not received it after that time, please contact us at exella@ualberta.ca. If you do not have an email address on record, a volunteer from the ELLA office will contact you by phone to let you know when the refund has been issued.
If you paid by cheque, your cheque has not been cashed and deposited and is currently being held by the Faculty of Extension. These cheques will be held in a secure location until current self-isolation rules have been lifted, at which time they will be mailed back to you uncashed.
We look forward to greeting you at Spring Session 2021 when we will be celebrating our organization’s 20th anniversary.
Spring Session 2020 has been cancelled
Dear ELLA Members
The Board of Directors of ELLA has weighed all of the medical facts and, in taking our cues from the University of Alberta, have come to the conclusion that, in the interests of the health of our members and the community, we are cancelling Spring Session 2020. Thank you to all the volunteers for the thousands of hours that they have put in setting up the Spring Session 2020 program. It is a big disappointment for us all to have to cancel.
An Annual General Meeting will be held at a later date.
Details of how you will be receiving a full refund for your tuition, if you have already registered, will be forthcoming in the next few days. Please do not call the ELLA office to inquire about your refund. We will reach out to you in as timely a fashion as possible. This could take a number of weeks as we have many hundreds of refunds to process and a small group of office volunteers. Thank you for your patience.
